BRITAIN LOCKERBIE

The nose section of Pan Am Flight 103, a 747 airliner, lies in a field outside the village of Lockerbie, Scotland, in this Dec. 22, 1988 photo. The bombing of the jet killed 270 people - mostly Americans and Britons - on the air and the ground. The two Libyans, allegedly former intelligence agents, are suspected of planting a suitcase bomb on the plane. Arab dignitaries headed to Libya Sunday, April 4, 1999 to witness the handover of the two suspects, a further sign their promised extradition is on track. (AP Photo/Martin Cleaver)
