NIXON-TRUDEAU-TAPES

President Richard Nixon looks up at some stone carvings pointed out by Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau in the Rotunda on Parliament Hill in Ottawa in this Apr.14, 1972 photo. The 30-year-old tapes are scratchy and the words often indiscernible, but the scorn for Trudeau drips from recently released recordings of Nixon like toxin from a time capsule.(CP PHOTO)
