Lake of the Woods, Ontario October 1872--Indians-- (North American Boundary Commission) Remains of an Indian camp. Chippewa Wigwams and grave on one of the islands in the Lake of the Woods at the North West Angle (Lake of the Woods). To the right is the commissioner (Capt. Cameron). In front of him, an Indian grave. Body is buried in the ground, Birch bark arched over it and the monument consists of a pole with a circle of birch bark at the top of it.
