United States ambassador to Canada Paul Cellucci issued a stern warning at a news conference in Ottawa on Thursday Feb. 24, 2005 that despite Canada's refusal to join the U.S. missile defence program the U.S. will not let a missile hit North America. Canada will not sign on to the controversial U.S. missile defence program, the federal Liberals announced Thursday, ending months of political ambiguity on the matter.
