walk during a memorial for Samwel Uko

SASK SAMWEL UKO 20220605

Joice Guya Issa Bankando, sits on the ground and weeps during a memorial for her son Samwel Uko at Wascana Centre in Regina, Sunday, June 5, 2022. It was the first time Bankando visited the site where her son Samwel drowned approximately two years ago. On May 21, 2020, Samwel Uko went to Regina General Hospital seeking help, was forcibly removed by security, and was later found drowned at Wascana Lake. The jury of a death inquest completed its investigation on Friday, making 20 recommendations on how the Saskatchewan Health Authority can prevent similar tragedies. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Michael Bell
