An appellate court tossed a $3.75 million default judgment against "Golden Girls" star Rue McClanahan because the plaintiff's lawyer served her agent with the complaint rather than her attorney. The 2nd District Court of Appeal unanimously ruled Monday, June 12, 2006, in favor of McClanahan, who had been sued for slander by former documentary filmmaker Dirk Summers.
