Ottawa moves ahead with high-speed rail link

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada will move ahead with a high-speed rail link between Toronto and Quebec City. The Liberal government says the planned rail network — which is expected to take several years to design and build — will span approximately 1,000 kilometres, reach speeds of up to 300 kilometres an hour and include stops in Ottawa, Montreal, Laval and Trois-Rivières.
