Newsroom Ready: Quebec zoo owner charged with animal cruelty

Animal welfare officials are seizing over 100 animals from a small zoo in Quebec after an investigation found alleged abuse and neglect. The Montreal SPCA says the owner is facing one count each of criminal animal neglect and criminal animal cruelty, and say it’s the first time in Canada that a zoo owner has faced such charges.
