Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Marc Miller says the "expectation" is that during an upcoming visit to Canada the pope will apologize for the Catholic Church's role in residential schools. NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says the church should also provide compensation to survivors and documents that would bring closure to families.
