Newsroom Ready: Fundraising effort to get Afghan women at risk of deportation, death to University of Regina.
An advocacy group has partnered with the University of Regina to raise money to relocate a group of female students from Qatar to Saskatchewan. They were evacuated from Afghanistan after the Taliban took over the country exactly four years ago. Their scholarships in Qatar were suspended by the U.S. government and they now have to leave.
