Liberals launch Indo-Pacific strategy

Led by Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly, the Liberals unveiled their long-awaited Indo-Pacific strategy at a press conference in Vancouver, announcing more military spending, trade initiatives and closer ties with countries such as India. Joly says the almost $2.3 billion strategy comes amid a "generational shift" in foreign policy in the region.
