Mulled wine, fried sausages, and plenty of Christmas spirit. At first sight, the Christmas Avenue market in West Berlin looks much like any other of the roughly 100 Christmas markets in the German capital. But there are some differences: a few more drag queens on stage, more same-sex couples, and some adult-only themed artworks on display.
