Intervening to release Meng Wanzhou would put more Canadians at risk: PM

Despite increasing pressure for the federal justice minister to step in to halt extradition proceedings against Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou in Vancouver, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says it's out of the question. Releasing her in the hope China will free Canadians Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor in exchange would teach China that taking Canadians prisoner is a way to get leverage over the Canadian government, he says.
