Undated file photo of the trawler, Gaul, which sank off northern Norway in February 1974. Human remains have been discovered during an underwater survey of the Hull-registered ship carried out by remotely-controlled vehicles from the Seisranger survey vessel. The remote cameras were used after the government ruled that a manned dive to the wreck to discover why the vessel sank was too dangerous. Rumours have persisted for years that the Gaul had been involved in espionage and that the Russians may have been responsible for the sinking. See PA story SEA Gaul. PA Photo.
