‘The Boy in the Woods’ a story of Holocaust survival, says real-life inspiration

Canadian Holocaust survivor Maxwell Smart was just 11 when he escaped Nazi persecution in Eastern Europe by living alone in a forest. The 94-year-old says he hopes the film “The Boy in the Woods,” based on his experience, shows audiences the grave impact genocides have on innocent children. (June 20, 2024)
