Newsroom Ready: Blanchet sets stage for first ministers' meeting with calls for more cash
Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet renewed calls Wednesday for the Liberal government to boost health transfers to provinces and territories beyond the nearly $42 billion budgeted for this year. Blanchet said convincing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that health care is a provincial jurisdiction should be a key goal of the first ministers' meeting on federal transfer payments, which is slated to kick off Thursday.
