Newsroom Ready: Art commemorating U.S. victims of COVID-19 running out of room
A Maryland artist is running out of space for her public art installation in Washington, D.C., commemorating the U.S. victims of COVID-19. Suzanne Brennan Firstenberg originally ordered 250,000 white marking flags to install in an open field outside the D.C. Armory; on Tuesday, she changed the numbers on the accompanying billboard to reflect the latest death toll: 247,356.
